Celestial Wine and Spirits is the leading Canadian importer and distributor of premium Moldavian wine and spirits in Western Canada. We represent some of the most prestigious wineries and distilleries from Moldova: Chateau Purcari, Bostavan, Chateau Vartely, J.S.C. Aroma, Cricova, Castle Mimi and other. Moldova is one of the oldest wines producing regions in the world with a history of more than five thousand years, and for the last eight years we’ve been working passionately to ensure Canadians develop an appreciation for this ancient region and discover the incredible wines of Moldova.

Celestial Wine and Spirits is looking for a driven and results oriented Brand Ambassador to represent our wine and spirits portfolio in Calgary Area.  If you are a reliable,  proactive, self-motivated individual, and have a strong desire to be successful in all sales channels, while cultivating long term relationships, we’d love to meet you.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure distribution and expand sales of Celestial Wine and Spirits’ portfolio from both a volume and market share perspective while positioning Celestial Wine and Spirits as a core supplier of premium Moldavian products in Alberta.
  • Educate accounts and consumers on Moldavian wines and spirits
  • Build and maintain long lasting relationships with key decision makers, consumers, professional affiliates, key influencers, and other industry professionals (wine writers, bloggers, private buyers etc.), resulting in brand loyalty and repeat business.
  • Implement annual sales strategies and track industry/competitive information, monitoring new licensee openings and movement of licensee management in the region.
  • Collaborate in the creation and implementation of various marketing and promotional programs to build brand awareness.
  • Effectively maintain and maximize existing accounts ensuring ongoing needs and future potential isn’t forgotten (appropriate product orders, placement and regular feedback)
  • Utilize software tools for business and weekly call planning, establishing call frequency, as well as real time tracking of monthly targets of initiatives.
  • Ensure annual sales volume, revenue, and margin contribution of accounts meets planned levels in order to meet and exceed the business plan.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • A track record of success in a similar role with 5+ years’ experience in the industry
  • An established network in the alcohol industry or experience selling to restaurants and private retail accounts is considered an asset. 
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and way of work; independently driven and motivated.
  • Great communication, organizational and planning skills with the ability to respect tight schedules.
  • Engaging presentation skills with a recognized ability for persuasive sales
  • Computer proficiency 
  • Working knowledge of alcoholic beverages, WSET 1 considered an asset 
  • Post-Secondary education preferred.
  • ProServe Certified
  • Access to reliable vehicle with a valid AB driver’s license and clear driving record
  • Police background check

Must be able to:

 

  • Be flexible and work some evening and weekends
  • Travel (up to 90% of time)
  • Reside within, or in close proximity to the general area of the sales territory
  • Lift product cases weighing up to approximately 15 kg (35 pounds)
  • Stand for extended periods of time
