The Cellar has been a purveyor of fine wine, spirits, and beer since it opened its doors on Stephen Avenue in 2001. We pride ourselves on quality products and experience for every customer.
The events coordinator at The Cellar helps customers to visualize & book wine tastings in our beautiful underground tasting room. Formal wine education isn't required but you must be eager to learn, be organized, and be enthusiastic. The events coordinator will also host our Blind Wine Tasting Bar for drop-in tastings, so you must be comfortable presenting products to guests.
- strong interpersonal skills; active listener, team player, responsible and dependable, motivated, flexible, patient
- service skills focusing on customer care
- neat and tidy appearance
- ability to multi task and prioritize
- proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & general computer skills
- ability to host guests at the tasting bar
- comfortable lifting items up to 40 lbs (case of wine)
- valid ProServe
- excitement to learn and develop professionally within the wine, beer and liquor industry in Alberta
This position is ideal for someone wanting to get into the wine industry and learn & taste wine on the job.
