Rocky Mountain Wine Spirits & Beer offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Our store features a hand-picked, unique product selection including roughly 1000 wines, high end spirits, and over 600 beer skus. Sourcing rare wines, spirits, craft beer, and locally made products is kind of our thing! When it comes to our staff – we like to keep it real, laugh a lot, and will never say no to a good glass of vino. We’re educated and passionate about everything wine, spirits and beer and make customer service our number one focus.

 

We are a small, Calgary based company, owned by the same owners as Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival, Winefest, and most recently, Virtual Vino – Calgary’s newest online wine store!

 

We’re a bunch of wine, spirits and beer nerds currently looking for a full-time Sales Associate to join our team. If you’re personable, trustworthy and reliable, with a passion for wine, spirits and beer, then you just might be who we are looking for.

 

While providing exemplary customer service would be your focus, there are also opportunities for the right candidates to become involved in marketing, social media and events. A background in marketing is an asset, but not mandatory. We are willing to train the right candidate!

 

Required Qualifications:

·         Demonstrated exceptional customer service

·         A strong team player

·         Expansive knowledge of wine (either through education or personal experience), and the thirst to always learn more

·         A passion for spirits and/or beer is considered an asset

·         Good verbal and written communication skills

·         Proserve certification will be required

·         Must be at least 18 years of age

·         Able to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. (Note our store closes by 8pm daily.)

·         Social media and marketing savvy is considered an asset

·         Proven written communication skills is considered an asset

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

·         The potential for prolonged standing, walking, squatting and/or bending

·         The ability to lift up to 50 pounds

·         Skills to assemble displays and shelving
