We are looking for an experienced, results-oriented sales leader to join our team as Sales Coordinator AB and Data Analyst Western Canada. This role which is based in Calgary, is to support the Alberta Sales Manager in all aspects of managing the Sales division as well as driving growth and opportunities through data analysis for Western Canada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Western Canada Data Coordinator – work with the management team to help drive our sales growth through reports and analytics.

  • Manage reporting of the goals and targets tracking system;

  • Create and maintain BC & AB quarterly planning documents which include targets for both distribution and volume;

  • Run weekly updates for BC & AB and send to the team for AB and to BC sales coordinator for BC;

  • Perform KPI distribution calculations monthly and update team;

  • Assist sales managers by analyzing sales reps territories to come up with appropriate G&T targets for the quarter; Requires looking at current distribution versus chain account opportunity;

  • Perform analysis as needed to identify market trends and create meaningful business cases which reps can use with store managers;

  • Assist in BC/AB chain presentation development and assistance with completion of listing and programming apps, chain/territory data analysis for suppliers as needed;

  • Distribute monthly sales reports for AB to AWSM Management team and reps;

  • Assist VP Sales in creating monthly reports as requested ;

  • Create quarterly red book competitive sets for G&T skus and come up with a new plan to show the team how to target/utilize data – take ownership of these new competitive sets, suggestion by geographical zone, territory, visual aid etc;

  • Bi annually create an analysis of the sales reps gasoline usage and circulate to VP’s.

 

Alberta Administrative Support and Sales Coordination – work with the Sales Manager as needed to help with Alberta sales coordination and support, key activities to include:

  • Be the main point of contact for the sales team for internal office team communication. This includes coordination of requests for retail/on premise POS, Sell sheets, inventory concerns etc.

  • Compile a weekly email for communication with the Marketing coordinator for all POS requests. 

  • Compile a weekly email for Marketing Analyst for sell sheets, data stories, or red book edits. 

  • Compile a weekly email to Graphics for On Premise menu cards ensuring the reps have completed the appropriate template. You will be responsible to ensure template is fully completed before sending to graphics.  If time is of the essence, send as they come in.

  • Enter AB quarterly Goals and Targets into the Chablis system.

  • Oversee sales related data filing into our various systems: Chablis, G-Drive, N-Drive, SharePoint, & Web-site

  • Coordinate quarterly roll-out meetings and work with marketing team to allocate and distribute quarterly support materials. 

  • Supplier itineraries – liaison with suppliers, AWSM management and sales & marketing staff to coordinate all aspects of Prairies supplier visits. Itineraries to be filed and maintained in a timely manner on SharePoint, and distributed as necessary to appropriate employees.

  • Send out bi-weekly wins to the sales team & management pulling rep photos from system databases.

  • Update monthly the 306 sales budgets via a spreadsheet that list individual supplier budgets.

  • Verify Sales Rep territory results by cross referencing with sales data and photos as requested.

  • Handle incoming calls for all Alberta sales reps, provide support and materials as needed.

  • Back up Calgary reception desk as per CHG group office sharing system.

  • Help train new sales representatives on office procedures as requested.  This can include reviewing the new hire package and expense report training. 

  • Work with marketing to ensure POS in the warehouse is kept organized.  Marketing is responsible for organization and will ask for help when necessary.

  • Manage AWSM corporate & independent account tastings by scheduling and overseeing the process when asked. Ensure tasters have all relevant information and materials.

  • Build and update chain account LTO grids.

  • Track AWSM chain account flyer/newspaper ads.

  • Create and update weekly allocation reports along with daily rep requests. Review allocation report bi-weekly with team to ensure allocations are top of mind and being pulled.

  • Create and update weekly unable to ship reports which includes looking over report to highlight areas of concern.

  • Work with Manager Retail Chains to disseminate important Chain account information in a timely manner ex: upcoming ad activity.

  • Assist AB Sales Manager in completing monthly reports as required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be highly organized, and display excellent motivation and leadership abilities.  You must have great PC skills (Windows: Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and be able to extensively use the AWSM web based applications for sales and planning activities.  The ability to understand data and how to slice and dice to tell a story is important. Ability to use Pivot tables within excel is an asset.

  • Knowledge:  Potential candidates should have solid office skills and a desire to learn about the wine and spirits industry.

  • Physical: Must be physically fit and be able to lift and carry 41+ pounds and able to build displays or handle heavy POS material.

  • Other: Must have and maintain a valid Canadian Passport along with a Serving it Right certification.

 

Base salary plus incentive bonus, and benefits commensurate with experience.
