Summit Fine Wines is owned and supported by Jackson Family Wines, Sonoma, California established in 1982 by Jess Jackson and remains today one of the largest, private premium wine companies in the world.
We currently have an opening for a full time sales merchandiser position. We are looking for a dynamic, hard-working, self-starter who possesses strong sales & presentation skills to work as a sales merchandiser/sales support. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, collaborative working environment and be keen to learn.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The role will include; but, not limited to, the following:
- Support the sales team with store merchandising needs including shelf position/POS application, setting up displays
- Present marketing and LTO programming to private retail and chain stores
- Support tasting events often outside of regular day work hours
- Organize/buy samples and support shipping needs for sales team
- Sell wine to retail chains
- Analyze and build territory route plan based on customer needs
- Report monthly territory results using reporting system
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideally, candidate has previous wine industry work experience
- Must have achieved min WSET level one or equivalent
- Must possess a current driver’s license and insurance and a clean driving record
- Must have a credit card/means of buying and then expensing samples
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. case of wine
- This position requires the availability and willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, when necessary
-Annual salary: $50-$55K range depending upon experience
-Monthly car allowance of $500
