Western Canada Chain Retail Account Manager

Charton Hobbs, Canada’s largest privately held wine & spirits importer, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to represent our brands and oversee Chain Retail Accounts. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.

Reporting to the Alberta Sales Director, the successful candidate will work with some of the beverage alcohol business’ most prestigious and fastest-growing brands such as Veuve Clicquot, Hennessy, Fireball, Santa Carolina, Australian Vintage, Perrin, Glenmorangie, and many more. 

The primary role of this position is to continue to build relationships with Retail Chain Account Key Buyers and develop our brands’ business through these account locations in Alberta and where applicable, BC and Saskatchewan. 

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

·       Strong, existing relationships with major retail chains and their key buyers;

·       A thorough understanding of Chain Retail operations in the Western Canada;

·       A proven track record of launch products and strategic displays within this universe of accounts;

·       An interest in both developing brands/labels that are specific to this channel as well as working to build upon recognized international brands;

·       WSET 2 & 3;

Other requirements of the position entail:

• Able to meet with our various international suppliers in our office to outline opportunities and requirements to build their business in this channel;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• A persuasive and energetic personality;
• Ability to analyze statistics and strong computer skills along with good administration habits;
• Problem-solving and creative approach to objections;
• Goal-oriented and results-driven personality;
• Able to set and execute high standards of performance.

This position comes with a base salary with annual performance bonus, a car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience.
