Tractor Operator (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Blomidon Estate Winery is a small boutique winery, nestled on the shore of the Minas Basin, in Canning, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are committed to producing 100% Nova Scotia grown grapes and wines and are proud to have won numerous national and international awards and acclaim for our efforts.

Job Duties:

-Day to day operation and maintenance of tractor and vineyard implements (spraying,mowing,weeding,etc).

- Pruning

-Trellis repair & maintenance

-Vineyard canopy management

-Assisting with cellar work as required (bottling, disgorging, harvest, etc)

Job requirements:

-Previous vineyard & tractor experience

-Willingness to work as part of a team and independently

-Ability to work flexible hours during peak season

-Able to lift 50lbs

-A valid driver's license and transporatation

-Ability to get a NS Pesticide application license

 

Work will be spread between two vineyard locations within minutes to each other.  Positive attitude and an open mind are a must. We are a small winery with a limited but tight workforce. As we are growing,the candidate will feel comfortable taking on responsibilities.

Compensation will be based on experience
