Position Overview:

Bearz Honey is a family owned apiary farm in a growth mode. The meadmaker is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mead production process. This includes strategic direction as well as day-to-day operations.

Meadmaking Responsibilities:

Set and implement direction on production of mead, storage of product, and bottling of product 

Set production schedules in line with the capabilities of the facility and the needs of the market. 

Manage inventory levels of supplies and materials used in the production of mead.

Maintain records as required for the purpose of meeting government and corporate requirements. 

Supervise maintenance and repair of equipment and tanks used in the shop operation.  

Monitor the condition of all mead batches.

Assist in development of the product mix and honey requirement needs for coming season.  



Personnel Management and Leadership Responsibilities:

Actively engage with company management to work through important business opportunities and changes. 

Continually look to innovate meadmaking and production and adapt to changing market conditions.  

Provide regular feedback on performance. 



Our compensation is competitive and based on skills and experience. This position will commence as contractual, moving forward into a full time position.
