Vanessa Vineyard Estate winery is located in the heart of the Similkameen Valley overlooking our pristine Estate Vineyard. Known for our big, bold red wines and exceptional guest experiences, we are currently seeking a Tasting Room Manager to join our exceptional team.
Job Description:
Vanessa Vineyard is looking for a Tasting Room Manager with a passion for customer service to lead our Tasting Room staff in creating and executing exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with the Estate Manager you would be responsible for maintaining the day to day operations of the Tasting Room and Wine Club while striving to reach all goals and targets set out for Vanessa Vineyard.
Responsibilities:
· Day to day operation of the Tasting Room in conjunction with the Estate Manager
· Continually strive to reach all sales targets that have been budgeted for.
· Look for innovative ways to increase sale
· Administer & operate the Wine Club in Cawston
· Wine Club coordination and administration, in conjunction with Estate Manager.
· Look for innovative ways to increase sale
· Administer Tasting Room storage wine / merchandise.
· Oversee the delivery of the highest level of guest service in the Okanagan by ensuring the team consistently exceeds guest expectations while maximizing potential revenue and minimizing costs.
· Support the Estate Manager in hiring and training team members to achieve our goals of providing the most exceptional guest experiences possible.
· Mentor, coach, educate, and motivate the team to maximize their potential through regular meetings and structured training
· Support, maintain and execute wine club duties as necessary
Qualifications
3-5 year of retail experience in a related field
Supervisory or management experience in retail/hospitality is an asset
Post-secondary education in a relevant field, hospitality, marketing, or business is and asset
Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings and weekends
Valid Serving It Right Certificate
WSET Level 2 or greater recommended
FOODSAFE 1 an asset
POS experience an asset
