Vanessa Vineyard Estate Winery is a boutique winery located in Cawston, BC. We are looking for talented and knowledgeable individuals to join our tasting room team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet all visitors to the winery.
  • Conduct structured tastings for those who come to the winery.
  • Communicate Vanessa Vineyard's winemaking style and curate a memorable experience to the guests’ knowledge level.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Similkameen's wine culture with personal experience and recommendations by answering visitors’ questions and providing general tourist information.
  • Handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating the cash register and computer.
  • Effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club to customers.
  • Assisting with special events after hours and/or off property, if required.
  • Assists customers with transporting wine to their vehicles.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the hospitality space, including tasting rooms, walkways, restrooms, and picnic/outdoor area.
  • Ensure the tasting bars are well stocked, organized and free of clutter.
  • Conduct inventory counts as outlined by the Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Job Qualifications:

  • 19+ years of age
  • 1-3 years of wine sales or hospitality experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, able to work weekends and holidays
  • Physically fit and able to lift 40 lbs
  • Valid Serving It Right Certificate
