Vanessa Vineyard Estate Winery is a boutique winery located in Cawston, BC. We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable individual to join our tasting room team as a supervisor.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Day to day operation of the Tasting Room in conjunction with the Tasting Room Manager.
• Oversee the delivery of the highest level of guest service in the Similkameen by ensuring the team consistently exceeds guest expectations while maximizing potential revenue and minimizing costs.
• Support the Tasting Room Manager in hiring and training team members to achieve our goals of providing the most exceptional guest experiences possible.
• Mentor, coach, educate, and motivate the team to maximize their potential through regular meetings and structured training.
• Greet all visitors to the winery.
• Conduct structured tastings for those who come to the winery.
• Communicate Vanessa Vineyard's winemaking style and curate a memorable experience to the guests’ knowledge level.
• Act as an ambassador for the Similkameen's wine culture with personal experience and recommendations by answering visitors’ questions and providing general tourist information.
• Handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating the cash register and POS.
• Effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club to customers.
• Assisting with special events after hours and/or off property, if required.
• Assists customers with transporting wine to their vehicles.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the hospitality space, including tasting rooms, walkways, restrooms, and picnic/outdoor area.
• Ensure the tasting bars are well stocked, organized and free of clutter.
• Conduct inventory counts as outlined by the Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Job Qualifications:

• 19+ years of age
• 2+ years of wine sales or hospitality experience
• Supervisory or management experience in retail/hospitality is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexible, able to work weekends and holidays
• Physically fit and able to lift 40 lbs
