Syrah Investments Ltd. is a partnership farming 110 acres in the beautiful Similkameen Valley.
We are currently seeking a Vineyard foreman/Equipment Operator to join our crew. The successful candidate will be a team player but also able to work independently and have good communication and organizational skills. Excellent work ethics, availability and willingness to work flexible hours in the peak of the growing season is a must.
The right candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
-Operation and maintenance of tractors and implement
-Assisting the crew with seasonal vineyard task
-Field crew supervision
-Accurate record keeping
-Spraying, mowing, mechanical weeding, hedging etc.
-Harvesting and shipping grapes (Picking, Loading trucks etc.)
-Forklift operation
-Mini-Excavator operation
-Vineyard infrastructure / property maintenance
-Frost protection / wind machine operation
Qualification
- 1 to 2years experience minimum
-Spray applicator certificate an asset
-Forklift operation ticket
Compensation will be based on experience.20-25$/hour to start. Accommodations may be available for the right candidate
