Redtail is a 25 acre vineyard located in the growing wine region of Prince Edward County.  

Redtail focuses on sustainable vineyard practices, and all 25 acres are under geo-textile.

We are looking for a seasonal tractor operator for the 2022 growing period starting in April to assist in the vineyard.

Responsibilities:

·        Ensure all vineyard duties are completed in a timely manner

·        Operate vineyard equipment and complete equipment safety checklists

·        Assist with minor equipment repairs when necessary

·        Work closely with the vineyard management team

·        Follow all HR and health and safety protocols

·        Look after the over all health of the vineyard

·        Assist vineyard crew in taking off geotextiles in spring, and cover the vineyard in the fall

·        Able to work longer hours when necessary

Qualifications:

·        Tractor experience is necessary

·        Viticulture experience is an asset, willing to train

·        Farming experience is an asset

·        Able to work outdoors in all conditions for long periods of time

·        Hardworking and able to manage time effectively

 

$18 an hour
