Territory Sales Manager: North GTA/Cottage Country
Founded in 2009, VonTerra is an award winning, rapidly growing, privately-owned agency in Ontario. We represent a wide array of local and import suppliers within the wine, spirits, beer, cider, and RTD categories across commercial, premium, and luxury price points.
This position is responsible for growing the business and managing relationships with customers, primarily in the retail and grocery channels. This is a large territory that spans from Toronto to Muskoka and the Kawarthas. The successful applicant will be a highly organized, self-motivated individual with a passion for sales.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed volume and distribution targets.
- Analyze sales data to close gaps, capitalize on opportunities, and anticipate risks.
- Maintain high level product knowledge of our portfolio as well as competitors’.
- Execute marketing programs to deliver strong ROI.
- Nurture relationships and partnerships with LCBO managers and employees at all levels.
- Fulfil duties in accordance with provincial laws and AGCO guidelines.
- Some evening and weekend work will be required.
Job Qualifications:
- University degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or equivalent field.
- 1-3 years of experience in beverage alcohol or CPG sales.
- Smart Serve certified
- Completion of WSET level 2 or equivalent
- Working knowledge of the LCBO and grocery sales
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory and be physically present at events and customer meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift 25kg and stand for extended periods of time.
