Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Tasting Room Associate. The Tasting Room Associate will play a key role in providing exceptional hospitality to our guests, guiding them through wine tastings, and assisting with wine sales and promotions.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they enter the tasting room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Conduct wine tastings and educate guests about our wines, including grape varietals, production methods, and flavor profiles.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with wine selections, purchases, and inquiries.
- Promote and upsell wine club memberships, merchandise, and special promotions to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including tasting counters, displays, and seating areas.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, handle cash, and reconcile daily sales.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking wines, merchandise, and tasting supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the tasting room.
- Uphold all company policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service and safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to expand wine knowledge and hospitality skills.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service roles preferred.
- Passion for wine and eagerness to learn about our winery, wines, and industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with diverse groups of guests.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
