Sales Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Canada’s first independent wine shop has an opening for a part-time sales associate. As both an agency and a retail outlet, staff are exposed to and have an opportunity to learn about The Wine Cellar’s partner boutique wineries from around the world.

This position is two full days per week one of which is Saturdays.  There is potential growth for this role in the future.

We are looking for someone with a passion for wine and a fondness for people. Our customers are the best! If you like wine, you will love the Wine Cellar

The successful candidate will 

Maintain a welcoming environment focused on customer service

Have intermediate to advanced wine knowledge

Be fluent in written and oral English with the ability to assist customers over the phone and via email

Have a strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships

Ability to lift 20kgs and manage stairs

Previous retail experience is an asset

Computer proficiency is an asset
