Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Alberta Provincial Manager, the Sales Representative is accountable to deliver against sales targets and lead measures in a portfolio of retail stores in and around Edmonton within the province of Alberta. This role will have a concentration of merchandising at key retail store locations with a concentration of securing and upselling agreed upon flyer quantities, distribution objectives and strategic shelf moves. Chain stores units will include the following: Costco, RCLS, Sobeys Liquor, Olympia Liquor, Liquor Depot, ACE & Anderson Liquor Stores
Role:
· Service a territory of 120+ accounts on a regular TCP(Territory Call Plan) with defined visits.
· Ensure flyer programs are executed 100% in all chain store units in and around Edmonton.
· Influence store managers flyer case orders with supporting historical data to ensure sufficient and incremental case quantities.
· Feedback of any out of stock-outs should be communicated to Alberta Sales Manager and Key Account Manager to ensure this information is communicated to the respective Category Manager to adjust case quantities for future flyer programs.
· Communicate bi-weekly LTO sheets to Key Account store unit managers.
· Merchandise all retail store units with best-in-class merchandising techniques, including display building, shelf management, and cold-box support.
· Fill in distribution gaps at selected chain account store units based on Commercial Planning file
· Supports all aspects of retail chain account business in Edmonton.
· Delivers against Key Account store unit lead measures as outlined by the Commercial Planning File
· Delivers business fundamentals (E.G. Distribution, Shelf, Price Promotion, Flyer and Display) by brand/sku and by Key Account store units and ensures consistent communication to the Calgary Sales Team including Alberta Provincial Manager, Key Account Manager
· Regularly assess performance against business fundamentals outlined in the Commercial Planning File in collaboration with the Alberta Provincial Sales Manager to close any identified gaps.
· Support Alberta Sales Manager, Key Accounts Manager, and Territory Managers in Alberta with merchandising, display building in selected Independent stores and sample drop-offs.
· Ability to lift case(s) of wine. (30-40lbs/case)
· Support Trade Show wine tastings
· Perform other duties, as required.
