TERRITORY SALES MANAGER, FINE WINE

To be hired as "Territory Sales Manager, Fine Wine", you must have direct sales experience selling wine and/or liquor to the food and hospitality industry preferably in Ontario and/or Canada. Experience selling to the liquor boards is also desired. In the final analysis you are a fine wine aficionado and serious about a career in the fine wine business.

Two Sisters Vineyards, with 150 acres in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON has been awarded “Best Small Winery in Canada” by the National Wine Awards. Established almost a decade ago, Two Sisters Vineyards offers guests a premium wine and food experience. Family owned and operated, the winery reflects the family’s passion to bring people together over Italian food, pristine highly rated Bordeaux style wines and culture. The company operates an onsite restaurant known as Kitchen76.

Two Sisters Vineyards now seeks to expand distribution and bring its premium product experience to people across Ontario. PeopleFind Inc has been retained to conduct a search for and recruit a Territory Sales Manager who will complement the existing team, lead the sales effort and spearhead growth in Ontario and then beyond.

The Territory Sales Manager will be charismatic and with a suitable personality to lead the charge on sales. He/she will be fact based and analytical and will grow business within key accounts, in particular, within corporate hospitality, hotels and restaurant chains. The focus will be on sales and on retainment.

LOCATION:

The winery is located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON.

The Territory Sales Manager will need to come to the winery perhaps once every week to every two weeks, and as required for meetings, etc.

Given that this is a home-based position, and distances within the GTHA and Golden Horseshoe to Niagara-on-the-Lake are commutable, the Territory Sales Manager need not relocate if he/she lives the commuter range and can commit to being available for meetings at the winery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following defines the scope of the job:

Define and execute sales strategies and business development.

Development of sales support programs to maximize outside sales and
profit.

Development of sales streams.

Analyze skus and allocation to various sales streams including LCBO.

Employ field research to input and develop the strategy needed to enter new markets.

Provide sales support as required to maximize sales.

Create and maintain strong relationships with Key clients.

Understand the competitive landscape and market trends - DTC, licensee and LCBO (phase 2 to include liquor boards on a national level).

Develop and structure a sales team to best service defined sales streams in Ontario (phase 2 to include sales streams on a national level)

Establish sales objectives and goals / targets based on annual production volumes for Ontario.

In support of your sales efforts - analyze trends, and work with Marketing and the PR Director to effectively develop strategies to achieve sales goals and overall brand awareness.

Establish sales budgets and projected sales volumes for current and new skus for outside sales streams.

Maintain accurate net pricing charts for current and new skus for outside sales streams.

Generate opportunity plans.

Develop and implement a planning and buyer driven sales process.

Do analytics and reports to support planning decisions, pricing and marketing as it supports sales goals for outside sales streams.

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of 5 years of people management experience.

A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the fine wine or liquor business - building brand, sales and profitability.

Effective at sales planning and proficient in preparing reports, analyzing data, and presenting strategic recommendations based on data and trends.

Deliver on the company’s sales standards and brand building initiatives, and ensure congruency with business objectives and goals.

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

Ability to find creative ways to resolve problems.

Ability to support and maintain positive relationships with team and ownership.

Ability to position propositions effectively and negotiate solutions.

Creative in the context of ideas generation

Excellent presentation skills and knowledge of wines.

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Proven problem-solving skills.

A keen sense of business and high sense of urgency.

Results oriented, self-motivated, driven and disciplined.

A college diploma or university degree in business.

COMPENSATION:

Base salary commensurate with experience plus commission, benefits, and expenses.
