Territory: Greater Victoria is the majority of the territory, with trips to Nanaimo, Parksville, Qualicum, Courtney, Comox, Tofino, Ucluelet and other Vancouver Island communities less frequently. Calling on all 3 channels (BC Liquor Stores, private liquor stores and restaurants) with top focus on BC Liquor Stores.

The role:
The successful candidate will have a personality built for sales: competitive yet professional in nature, analytic yet creative, a self-starter; driven by winning and willing to roll up their sleeves. Reporting to the BC Sales Manager, he or she will be responsible for servicing BC Liquor Store locations, private stores and on-premise and executing marketing initiatives that support the entire region. This is a target-driven position that will be accountable to monthly, quarterly and annual targets and goals. This is a great opportunity for a person with the right attitude and aptitude.
Key tasks of this role are as follows:
· Drive sales through: increasing product distribution, improving shelf positioning and obtaining incremental displays in the government and private retail channels and BTG placements at on-premise.
- Developing and maintaining a regular call schedule for all channels and accounts within the Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island territory.
- Fostering quick relationships through sincere engagement with store managers, buyers and staff.
- Educating trade on PWS products, and consumers through trade shows and in store tastings across territory and participating in the same in the territory.
- Merchandise PWS brands in all channels.
- Planning and executing events/tastings throughout territory and across all channels.
- Evening and weekend work are required
The successful candidate will show or have the following skills and experience:
- Successful sales rep experience, with preference given to those with wine industry experience
- Self motivated, driven and has the ability to work independently but also be a team player
- Able to build sales based client relationships across diverse channels
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, and shift gears quickly
- Strong working capability of computers using MS Office Suite
- A reliable vehicle and a valid and unimpeded BC Driver’s License
- Has a valid and unimpeded passport
- Able to lift and carry more than 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Post-secondary education of certificate, diploma or degree is an asset
- Wine education such as WSET or ISG is considered an asset
- Experience selling to the BC Liquor Stores is considered an asset
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include benefits, business expenses and vehicle allowance.
