Kirkwood Diamond Canada is one of Canada’s largest independent national beverage alcohol sales and marketing agencies. Our organization is focused on serving our suppliers to Canadian beverage industry from coast to coast, with knowledgeable, effective and sophisticated central support.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director- Atlantic Region, the Account Executive manages client’s business in market area effectively, efficiently, and in a manner compatible with the client’s corporate and brand strategies. Creates and builds business by identifying and selling prospects and maintaining relationships with clients, customers and key buyers at the Nova Scotia Liquor Board. Lastly, works in parallel with the Regional Marketing Manager on all Supplier Brand Plans and promotional calendar.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintains communication with Regional Marketing Manager and Sales Team regarding product knowledge, sales objectives, promotional information, new product information, and client’s plan of action.
· Presents promotions, pricing, merchandising, marketing information, and market development programs to assigned clients and customers on a timely basis.
· Maintains regular call cycle and call record on each assigned client account identifying key personnel and buying policies.
· Maintains accurate information in the system as it relates to distribution and in any Supplier proprietary database as applicable.
· Prepares deal sheets, flyers, and survey sheets on a timely basis as needed.
· Secures orders for all products, current and/or new.
· Manages MDF funds and other spending within client guidelines.
· Communicates well with all levels of personnel at company, Supplier, and customer locations.
· Works with administration to manage deduction resolution and resolve any other client/customer problem areas.
· Works with Supplier representatives in the field as directed by management.
Client Management Functions:
· Responsible for meeting with Suppliers as needed to discuss all aspects pertaining to their business
· Manages the flow of information and makes recommendations on actionable goals to the Account Executives and other team members as required.
· Responsible for timely execution and liaise of information pertaining to new item launches, inventory availability, sales data, statistical changes, marketing and advertising tools and special projects, POGs,.
· Liaises with Regional Marketing Manager to develop marketing and merchandising initiatives to drive business and attain sales goals
· Liaises with Suppliers to address issues or concerns relating to retail stores
· Tracks the timely payment and accuracy of commission cheques
· Responsible for assessing requests for over and above funding prior to forwarding to the Supplier & Regional Marketing Manager for approval
· Other job-related tasks as directed by management.
Additional Requirements:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of one year industry experience.
Computer Skills: PC knowledge and skills in Word, Excel, and E-mail.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver’s License is required.
