Regional Marketing Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This position is responsible for the Sazerac and Moet Hennessey portfolio regarding the overall planning and execution of marketing activities and the sales results of each of the brands in the Sazerac and Moet Hennessy portfolio.  Along with some duties on the field sales side for the Nova Scotia market in the on-trade for the entire CHG portfolio.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  


The RMM will report to the CH Eastern Canada V.P. and will require close collaboration and coordination with the other RMM’s, and National BM, Market Directors, and the Provincial Sales Manager. The position requires frequent evening work in addition to the normal daytime related job functions which are split between both in and out of the office requirements.  Additionally the RMM will also be required from time to time to work weekends at specific events.  A moderate level of domestic and international travel is also incumbent with this position.


  • Develop the provincial marketing plans for all Sazerac and Moet Hennessy brands consistent with the guidelines provided by the National/International Brand Marketing, complete monthly status reports, provide market updates as required.
  • Liaise with the Sales Manager and the entire sales team and champion the demand and supply forecasts and Latest Estimate (LE’s), pricing recommendations and implementation strategies with the sales team.
  • Define the core portfolio of brands strategic account lists for on- premises, retail, and boutique accounts with the sales team and ensure that quarterly updates of listing status are maintained.
  • Determine with sales team the required input resources to be allocated to core and targeted on and off premises accounts and track spending plans versus planned objectives;
  • Implement  and measure effectiveness of regional PR, marketing activities, and event strategies that reflect  National brand orientations;
  • Responsible for the overall Advertising and Promotion (A&P)  budget for brand spending in the region, ensuring the proper monitoring of all A&P spends and corrective actions when required;
  • Responsible for product knowledge and training of their provincial sales team, accounts, targeted high-net worth-individual groups, or other clients of the portfolio of brands. 
  • Manage key on-trade accounts in the Nova Scotia market for the CHG brands, to execute wine and spirit KPI’s and activations.

Job Requirements:   

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or higher, Marketing, Business Administration majors preferred,  or 3 or more years job experience directly relevant to the industry.
  • English language skills a must; Bilingual French, an asset.
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills for diverse audiences;
  • Available for frequent evening and weekend events (sometimes on short notice), both local and international travel – valid passport required;
  • Strong analytical, organisation and multi tasking capabilities, able to meet tight deadlines;
  • Intermediate to high level of IT related skills, strong PowerPoint and Excel knowledge and able to master a working knowledge of the CH Cellar and other reporting tools;
  • Proven analytical skills and experience in managing major budgets and large scale marketing projects;
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task, set priorities, negotiate, make presentations, and work as a team player with a diverse universe of related parties is a must;
  • A flair for creative thinking and innovation in developing brand or customer business solutions;
  • Established trade contacts both on and off premises are a plus;
  • Valid Canadian Passport;
  • Valid Driver’s License;
