We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our cellar team for the 2022 harvest at our winery in Harrow, Ontario.

 

Reporting into the Winemaker, this position will work as part of the team to complete all cellar harvest activities safely and efficiently.

 

Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

 

·        All work relating to receiving grapes, crushing and transfer.

·        Preparing and adding dry good additions as directed by Winemaker.

·        Reading, understanding, and completing paperwork efficiently and accurately.

·        Ensuring that wine quality parameters are met at all times.

·        Winery hygiene – cleaning and sanitization of tanks and equipment.

·        Follow all Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures.

·        Follow all Colio standard operating procedures.

·        Any other duties as may be necessary or assigned.

Interested candidates should possess;

 

·        High School Diploma or equivalent

·        Harvest experience an asset

·        Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team, in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on quality, accuracy and timeliness

·        Excellent safety and work performance, and attendance record

·        Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, adherence to all safety regulations, operating procedures, and company policies

·        Ability to prioritize and to adapt

·        Ability to lift at least 25 kg

·        Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift work and weekends

·        Ability to work safely from heights and safely use ladders

·        Forklift certification an asset

·        Mechanical aptitude

·        Understanding current COVID 19 protocols as well compliance with work safe practices

·        Must be legally able to work in Canada

·        Hold a valid Ontario driver’s license
