Trail Estate Winery is an exciting and dynamic winery located in Prince Edward County. We make many zero additive wines like pet nats and orange wines as well as classic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. We farm our vineyard sustainably, growing premium grapes on beautiful limestone soils.
We are looking for a passionate and profficient harvest intern(s) with at least 1 to 2 years experience for our harvest. The position runs approximately September to Mid-November, with the possibility for extension depending on the season. Alternatively, we can also accommodate 2 week stages.
The ideal candidate will have some cellar experience and be able to follow verbal and written instructions from the winemaker. General cellar tasks will include sampling, harvesting, lab analyses, receiving and processing fruit, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, bottling and recording daily tasks. Attention to detail and cleanliness are exceptionally important.
As we are a small winery with a very small team, the ideal candidate will have a positive attitude. There will be many odd jobs required, but plenty of experience. Physically the candidate will be able lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time and work outside in varying weather conditions. Schedule is 10-12 hours per day, 6 days/week.
