We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager to cover a 16-month maternity leave. This is your opportunity to be an integral part of a BC based winery that is experiencing tremendous growth across Canada. Monte Creek Ranch Winery is located in the Thompson Valley just outside Kamloops, BC. The Marketing Manager will report to the General Manager and will plan, develop, and execute marketing activities to help us achieve our objectives supporting our direct to consumer and wholesale channels. This is a full-time salary position for the length of the contract.

 

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Creates Annual Integrated Marketing Plan for Approval by GM

  • Lead on quarterly content calendars to ensure key messaging is distributed through all channels. This includes working across multiple departments to generate content, ensure content is on brand and cascades through all outlets in a meaningful way (press releases, tasting room, social media, outside sales etc.)

  • Develop innovative programming for outside sales such as on-packs and contesting.

  • Post-game analysis on promo’s reviewing and proposing recommendations on improving ROI.

  • Lead of developing all POS materials for outside sales such as sell sheets, pricelists, neck tags and backer cards.

  • Responsible for managing Provincial merchandising grids.

  • Responsible for wine competition entries and communication of awards.

  • Responsible for maintenance and outreach of 100+ key media relationships. This includes product drops and frequent interaction as well as being the point person for incoming inquires.

  • In charge of all print and digital advertising (campaign design and booking).

  • Works closely with Sales agents to co-ordinate efforts on outside events and tastings.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a marketing role.
  •  Beverage alcohol and asset.
  • Degree in Marketing or related field is an asset.
  • Proven experience in the development and execution of an annual marketing campaign.
  • Wine knowledge and asset.
  • Web analytics/social media experience with the following platforms is an asset: Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics,
  • Online program experience, CRM (Mail Chimp), website experience (WordPress).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and design programs such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Light room is an asset.
  • Must be able to manage many high priority tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Must be organized and be able to adapt to change.
  • Energetic, people-oriented and a team contributor with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
