The Regional Estate Manager develops, implements, and executes strategic and operational business plans, for assigned Estate winery and other properties, ensuring alignment with corporate and divisional strategies that meet/exceed annual financial objectives. In addition, this role is responsible for initiating and executing innovative ideas, by engaging and leading teams, that will drive business, create exceptional experiences, and attract guests to the properties.
We are looking for teammates with:
- Degree in Business Administration or a related degree is required combines with 7-10 years in a leadership capacity in the Hospitality industry, including roles within luxury retail and restaurant environments
- Graduate of or enrolled in an internationally recognized wine program
- Strong business and financial acumen as well ability to analyze data
- Demonstrated track record of success in enabling growth, strategy development, and strategic innovation.
- Demonstrated success in organization and talent leadership including coaching and mentoring team members, enabling new capability growth
- Demonstrated success in partnering with, and influencing, key internal and external key stakeholders within a business environment
- Ability to inspire, engage, rally, unite and motivate organization; drive positive environment/culture.
- Demonstrated success in leading organizational change (e.g., integration of a business)
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to lead and communicate organizational and divisional vision, goals, and priorities within and outside immediate team
This teammate will be accountable for:
- Development, implementation and execution of strategic/operational goals and objectives for assigned Estate Winery and other properties, ensuring alignment with divisional and Company strategic plans
- Initiate and execute innovative ideas, by engaging and leading teams, that will drive business, create exceptional experiences and attract guests to the properties
- Leading the development and execution of annual business and financial plans, including revenues, expense and capital budgets for each property
- Hiring, coaching and developing direct reports; ensuring staff communication is a priority using various mediums of communication
- Building and promoting a strong business environment for tourism including development and implementation standards of service
- Developing and promoting a high level of customer care and hospitality excellence
- Collaborates with Marketing to support PR, marketing and campaign initiatives
- Identifying and planning for short and long-term property development opportunities; project lead on property renovations and new developments
- Develops and executes sales plans to drive group and event business as well support merchandising and experience plans that meet financial, educational and brand building objectives
- Responsible for accounting control, interpreting monthly P&L statements; and analysis of wine industry trends
- Where applicable, work with restaurant team to activate special events and develop private event business
- Attends company and industry meetings on behalf of the winery and ensures all relevant information is communicated and acted upon
- Works with the Maintenance and Winemaking teams to ensure the Winery is well maintained; where required manages contracts with landscaping company, janitorial, snow removal; current and future management of homes on the property for potential vacation rental; future member of on-site team to lead capital projects.
- Ensures the workplace is well maintained and safe at all times and buildings are secure at the end of each day;
- Ensures a safe and healthy work environment through the effective operation of the Health and Safety program and joint H&S committee and the Respect in the Workplace Policy
- Ensures the safety of employees through compliance with EH&S regulations and maintains an attitude that all incidents are preventable
