Accounting & Finance Manager
The Azhadi Group is a privately held group of companies which develops and operates a selection of wineries and vineyards throughout the Okanagan Valley, including the established Ex Nihilo Vineyards operating in Lake Country, BC. The Azhadi Group also owns additional vineyards and wineries under development, in Kelowna, Oliver and OK Falls, BC.

The Role
The Accounting & Finance Manager will work under the guidance of our Group Director of Finance and will assist in enabling all areas of the business and our people to be more successful.
The position is a hands-on accounting role for companies under development and provides a supporting role to Ex Nihilo finance team.
Primary areas of responsibility will include:
· Perform all full-cycle accounting functions including banking, AR, AP, payroll and related communications and reconciliations for multiple companies.
· Perform compliance reporting for various statutory and compliance reporting including GST, PST, Excise and Payroll
· Communicate with external accountants and year end preparation.
· Account reconciliations including operating accounts, capital assets and amortization schedules.
· Analysis of inventory counts, reconciliations and working with operations teams on metrics
· Production costing includes vineyard and winery.
· Support department managers in creation of operational plans and ongoing review and analysis
· Support role for product margin and sales channel analysis
· Assess opportunities for business or system process improvements and efficiencies.
· Creation of dashboards and management reports
In addition, the individual should be confident in making recommendations to the leadership team to improve and streamline processes to assist the efficient growth of the Azhadi Group.
The Ideal Candidate
Azhadi Group is seeking a highly motivated individual who is confident, ambitious, and interested in growing their career in a dynamic industry. The selected applicant is a self-starter, efficient, accurate, proficient in understanding operations in relation to finance, and adaptable at learning new skills and technological solutions. The individual will apply business insights to develop fresh, innovative solutions that provide real and measurable business outcomes.
The candidate would ideally have the following skills and experience:
· Working knowledge and experience of full accounting cycle.
· Recent working experience with SAGE 50.
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Power BI including intermediate to advanced excel skills.
· Experience in wine industry, manufacturing or construction phases of companies.
· Qualified CPA, or comparable education in Finance or Accounting, is preferred.
Competitive monthly compensation will be commensurate with experience. Flexibility exists for hybrid office and remote work. Selected candidate must reside in the Okanagan valley.
