Qualifications:
- Requires an in-depth knowledge of winemaking science, processes and practices including the winemaking ingredients and technologies used by winemakers during Crush through to bottling.

- experienced use of Excel, Word, Outlook and other business software
Qualified applicants should expect to work largely unsupervised using excellent time management skills under the direction of the company Sales Manager. As the job entails travel within the BC winery regions, predominantly the Central and South Okanagan, with the head office located in Kelowna, the successful applicant would ideally be living in the Central Okanagan (Kelowna, West Kelowna or Lake Country).
Job Description:
- Engage in the Canadian wine industry in a sales and product consultant role for multiple premium quality alcoholic beverage supply companies including Laffort, AEB, Innerstave, Francois Freres and Saury
- Responsible for customer development and sales, supplier relations, sales forecasts, winemaking trials, and technical support.
- Product knowledge to include French and Italian technical winemaking ingredients, French and American oak barrels, oak adjuvants, laboratory chemicals and supplies and winery and cidery cellar equipment/supplies
- Propose winemaking solutions and style suggestions to winemakers through bench trials with free samples, depending on the issues encountered or their individual style goals. Follow through with outcomes of suggestions and/or bench trials to optimize product use and winemaking practices
- Discuss and brainstorm winemaking concepts and practices with industry professionals to increase awareness and wine quality within the Canadian wine industry
- Develop strong relationships in the winemaking community by personal interaction, attending industry events including research and development committees, industry tradeshows, supplier site visits at local wineries, supplier manufacturing facility tours, supplier new information seminars and hosting winemaking technical seminars for the local winemaking community
