We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable full-time, permanent Brand Ambassador. This role is responsible for providing unparalleled hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences at the winery and in our organic bistro. Additional responsibilities include social media, marketing assistance, tastings, customer communication, wine sales support. In addition, attendance at trade events (evenings and weekends) may be required. Today, the winery is Canada’s only B- Corp winery, producing BC’s only Demeter certified (biodynamic) wines. The Cipes family have worked hard for the B.C. wine community, leading the way in sustainability, winning numerous prestigious international awards. Amid these successes, Summerhill tirelessly dedicate themselves to sustainability, and always look to minimizing their environmental impact and work in harmony with nature. The winery maintains a zero-carbon footprint, with a beautiful Organic Bistro on site which is 100% zero-waste, utilizing food scraps in their organic compost.

Ojectives

1.     BRAND AMBASSADOR 

Assume the role of lead Brand Ambassador for all activities and events. Design and execute differentiated guest experiences working in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing, Tasting Room, and Bistro teams, including but not limited to hosting VIP Tours, seated tastings, and virtual events while leading and supporting seasonal and year-round teams and other departments through improved education and communication channels.

 

2.     SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING 

Design and implement social media strategy for Summerhill. Our current platforms include Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, with expansion opportunities for all. Identify additional opportunities on social media (such as Tik Tok, Pinterest and Instagram) and design a strategic approach to support Summerhill Pyramid Winery’s mission.

 

Job Responsibilities

Social Media/Marketing

·       Consult and coordinate with internal teams (Sales & Marketing, Bistro, Wine Shop, etc.) on tactical and strategic social media plans and newsletter campaigns

·       Work closely with the Sales Director to create a branding plan for social media that includes collaborating with influencers and complimentary organizations to strengthen presence and drive sales

·       Develop content to increase community engagement online by creating a brand persona through Summerhill’s online channels

·       Utilize social channels most relevant to Summerhill daily

·     

·       Develop both digital and hard copy collateral as required and in conjunction with the Marketing team

·       Create high quality, on-brand written and visual content across all social media platforms relevant to Summerhill

·       Review branding, messaging and all required digital and hard copy to ensure consistency and compliance with Summerhill’s brand kit

·       Respond to customer queries through social networks, building and moderating social media communities by responding to comments and keeping members engaged

·       Manage a social media content calendar

·       Communicate goals, develop acquisition tactics, and train teams along with Sales Director to grow followers and achieve engagement goals

·       Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)—link clicks, likes, and other metrics—of social media, marketing campaigns

·       Monitor competitive landscape and market trends locally ensuring the Summerhill brand and loyalty program is positioned at the forefront

 

Customer Service and Communication

·       Assume the role of lead Brand Ambassador for all activities and events

·       Design and execute differentiated, elevated guest experiences

·       Be a primary contact for DTC inquiries—emails, phone calls, on-site guests, and social media inquiries

·       Design, plan and administrate comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our various wine brands and ensure the wine tours are a memorable and enjoyable experience for our clients

·       Work alongside Tasting Room Manager, DTC & Wine Club Manager, and Sales Director to coach teams on wine education, product knowledge, Wine Club experience and maintaining loyalty and engagement with the Summerhill brand

·       Work in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing teams to develop a communication plan, including creative writing for all assets and communication pieces

·       Be a highly informed resource for consumers and staff regarding winemaking, winegrowing, wine vintages and availability of products, brands, awards and accolades.

·       Ensure best-in-class consumer experiences at point of sale that bring to life the uniqueness of our wine brands by leveraging wine list features, events and staff training

 

Operations and Events

·       Execute assignments based on plans outlined by Sales & Marketing Team

·       Assist the Sales and Marketing team to execute and achieve all related team goals

·       Any other cross-departmental duties that may be required

·       Complete other administrative duties as required, including but not limited to monitoring office email account, filing, and monitoring office phone line

 

Job Qualifications:

·       Additional languages such as Mandarin or French are an assets

·       Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with deep empathy in a customer/consumer service role

·       Excellent organizational skills including proven ability to set goals and manage projects, prioritize and see initiatives through

·       Ability to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring delivery of high-quality work and service

·       High levels of integrity, a healthy sense of humour, an ambitious mind and no fear of failure

·       Five years progressive experience working in the wine industry

·       Experience managing social media platforms and tools an asset

·       WSET Level III, Court of Master Sommeliers Certified Sommelier designation or equivalent certification

 

 

 

 

 

This position comes with a base salary commensurate with experience, quarterly bonus and group benefits. Business related expenses are also covered.
