BC WINE INSTITUTE MARKETING MANAGER
We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager to be responsible for developing and delivering trade and consumer marketing programs and providing marketing support for all Wines of British Columbia marketing and event initiatives. This is a full-time salary position based in Kelowna. The Marketing Manager will report to the Marketing Director working cross functionally with the whole Marketing and Communications Team.
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
1. Trade and Consumer Marketing
- Development, execution and reporting of marketing program campaigns.
- Oversee marketing initiatives for consumer programs.
2. Brand Consistency
- Maintain brand continuity throughout all marketing initiatives.
3. Marketing Support
- Provide support with marketing, communications and event initiatives as required.
4. Education
- Oversee implementation of Wines of British Columbia Wine Ambassador Programs.
5. Familiarization Tour Planning
- Coordinate trade familiarization winery tours for trade.
6. Website Management
- Maintain website brand continuity, design layout and navigation.
- Manage website updates as required to stay current.
- Oversee technical requirements and implementation to website.
7. Online Programming
- Oversee technical requirements of CRM programming
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years experience in a marketing management role.
- Degree in Marketing or related field.
- Proven experience in the development and execution of retail advertising, point-of-sale and promotional campaigns, including new and traditional mediums.
- Wine industry-related marketing, communications and digital experience an asset.
- Experience with social media distribution and listening channels
- Familiar with Crowdriff, Hootsuite and Klear marketing platforms.
- Online program experience, CRM systems (Sales Force), website development (WordPress).
- Solid knowledge of web analytical tools (Google Analytics)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe products.
- Must be able to manage many high priority tasks with tight deadlines.
- Must be organized and be able to adapt to change.
- Energetic, people-oriented and a team contributor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Must be physically able to perform duties listed above, including lifting or moving heavy objects such as cases of wine, file boxes or other items as needed.
- Travel at the expense of the BC Wine Institute required from time to time.
- Graphic design skills considered advantageous.
- Ability to relate to all levels of government and industry.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
