The role.

The Senior Brand Manager is a seasoned marketer responsible for developing and executing the overall strategic brand marketing plans for their portfolio of luxury Canadian wine brands. You have the unique ability to craft compelling storytelling and experience-based initiatives, and understand what drives consumers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in brand management and marketing, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry, or in luxury product
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related from a recognized institution
  • Formal wine education is an asset
  • Understanding of long-term brand strategy, brand architecture, innovation and COGS management.
  • Experience managing the creative process - strong instincts, creative and evaluative skills
  • Experience developing and building teams and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional creative skills – writing and experience in creative development
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and taking initiative.
  • High energy with an entrepreneurial drive to succeed.
  • A second language is an asset.
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.

What the role will do.

Brand Planning & Strategy

  • Establish and execute the strategic direction for the portfolio of brands, led by the broader global Marketing strategy set by the VP, Marketing
  • Lead annual brand planning processes for portfolio, completing ongoing competitive analysis, consumer insights and benchmarking for all brands.
  • Evaluate current brand performance, market dynamics, competitive landscape, determine opportunities for innovation as well as SKU rationalization
  • Lead brand positioning and architecture refinement leveraging market research and consumer insights.
  • Drive a deep understanding of consumer segments and messaging hierarchy for project initiatives

Brand Execution

  • Be the brand and consumer expert of your portfolio, acting as a true business partner cross-functionally with all internal stakeholders to deliver on comprehensive multi-channel strategies
  • Day to day management of briefing process, and development of concepts and creative
  • Craft your brand’s strategies into remarkable, irresistible creative concepts and head-turning copy • Partner with the digital team on consistent basis to align on objectives, content and messaging
  • Deliver tools and communications needed for on-site experiences to launch, grow, and sustain performance throughout the guest journey at our winery properties.

Team & Leadership

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the broader Marketing and Guest Experience teams.
  • Lead, mentor, coach and motivate the junior Brand Marketers to maximize their potential through regular business reviews and structured training.
  • Collaborate with Executives, Senior Managers, multiple teams, and mid-level managers throughout the company
