Tasting Room Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

At Corcelettes Estate Winery we pride ourselves on the quality of wines we grow, the exceptional experience we offer our guests, and the skills of our highly dynamic team. We are looking to grow that awesome team with a Tasting Room Associate for the season of April to October of 2020. 

Key Responsibilities

·        Promote our portfolio of award-winning wines through product presentation, wine knowledge and closing skills

·        Demonstrate a genuine passion for wine and the Similkameen & Okanagan Valley wine industry

·        Promote Club Corcelettes and sign up new members

·        Promote ticket sales and assist with our events

·        Handle all transactions with cash or debit machine, knowledge in WineDirect would be an asset

·        Stock shelves and maintain cleanliness of wine shop and surrounding grounds

·        Assist with the preparation and shipment of our Club Corcelettes shipments

·        Occasionally represent the winery at off-site events and tastings

·        Attend and participate in weekly winery meetings

Job Requirements

·        Must be able to lift 40lbs, often

·        Comfortable speaking to large groups

·        Open and flexible schedule during peak tasting room season, working often on weekends, 4-5 days a week.

·        Serving It Right certificate

·        Preference will be given to WSET / ISG Certified candidates, as well as Wine Direct software knowledge
