The Léon Courville vineyard, located in Lac-Brome, Quebec, is recognised for crafting wines of international stature.  Since it’s inauguration, the establishment has been awarded several prizes and reputable mentions within the industry.  The winery boasts an annual production of 9,000 cases made mainly of hybrids grapes.

The winery is currently looking for a curious, rigorous, and creative assistant winemaker/oenologist who enjoys working within a small team.

Main responsibilities:

-          Define the vinification processes in collaboration with the cellar master to obtain qualitative products.

-          Carry out and ensure the proper completion of the winemaking tasks:

    ·         Pressing

    ·         Filtration

    ·         Fermentations

    ·         Transfers

    ·         Bottling

    ·         Organoleptic and analytical monitoring

    ·         Help with the inventory

    ·         Compliance with health standards

    ·         Traceability

    ·         Contribute to process improvement

The candidate must enjoy working physically in a well-organized and tidy environment.

Requirements:  BACC or master’s degree

                       Having successfully held an assistant oenologist/winemaker position

                               A good knowledge of the French language.

 

This is a full-time position starting at the beginning of January 2022.
