Position Objective:
We are looking for someone to join our team who has excellent customer service skills, is professional and communicates well. A team player who is creative, motivated and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment all while loving what you do.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- This position will assist in managing all aspects of our on-site sales, events, and overall guest experiences in our tastings room.
-Assist with annual hiring from ad placement to interviews to updating communications materials.
-Training and scheduling. Assist with ensuring all staff have their serving it right, food safe and or first aid.
-Managing emails, telephone enquiries and DTC inquiries.
- Troubleshoot point of Sale, website, TOCK, and shipping software. Maintain events calendars and schedules.
-Daily cash ups, monthly inventories, year end procedures and any other administrative duties
-Participate in annual planning sessions for events, operational changes, or staff training.
-Liaison with tour operators, create seasonal guidelines and ensure they are being adhered to.
-General knowledge of our wine club protocols and procedures, assist wine club manager if necessary. Planning and coordinating promotional materials or events associated with the wine club.
-Assist with social media/marketing when necessary
Job Requirements:
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of wine industry or related experience.
- Must have proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate others to a superior level of customer service and adherence to all company policies
- Experience or knowledge of all relevant computer applications (Profitek, TOCK, Wix, ATS, Excel and Word)
- Must love working with people, entertaining guests and have a passion for the Okanagan Wine industry.
- Must be used to standing for long periods of time, lifting 40lbs, working indoors and out, some evenings, weekends and holidays too.
- Must have your serving it right.
