Controller/Senior Accountant required for a growing Vineyard, Winery and Restaurant in the Okanagan Valley.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of five years practical experience in full cycle accounting.
The candidate must be energetic, positive, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic with attention to detail and the ability to work with little supervision
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Full cycle accounting including:
o Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Payroll time review and coding
o Generating monthly reporting on business performance including Income Statements and Job Cost reports
o Sales reconciliations for restaurant, winery and vineyard
o Inventory tracking
o Monthly Government and Liquor Board reporting and remittances
o Oversight of the developing online sales initiatives.
o Supervising current AP coordinator
o Job costing and reporting for associated construction activities as the business makes significant capital investments expanding its existing operations.
The ideal candidate will preferably have strong accounting knowledge and experience in the hospitality or winemaking industry. Experience in dealing with web based sales would also be a strong asset.
An accounting diploma or designation is an asset.
