Located on a historic property in Langley, Fairmeade Vineyards grows over 7 Acres vineyard and going to have more than 15 Acres in the next few years. We are currently searching for a vineyard manager who has a passion for sustainable agriculture. The individual will be self motivated, detail orientated, and organized. We have systematic planting standards, professional training and guidance.We provide accommodation. You can live on the farm cottage. We hope to find someone who can grow together with the vineyard and the future winery and who is passionate about the grape business.
Your responsibilities will include:
Tractor work, hand labour and spraying, recording.
Pruning, tying, canopy management, and planting/replanting
Quality control and testing for vine and soil health
Coordinate with winemaker on harvest and vineyard management activities and timelines
Vineyard maintenance according to Fairmeade standard
Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in viticulture
Minimum 3 years experience in viticulture or a related industry
Experience with maintenance and operation of farming equipment
Good communication and organizational skills
Valid drivers’ licence and ability to operate a tractor and trailer
Valid Pesticide Safety License
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
