Job description
The Cellar Hand will assist the winemaker in all winemaking activities. During harvest, most of the work is related to received, crushing and fermenting grapes. Later in the season, the activities shift to filling barrels, racking tanks, filtration and bottling.
The cellar hand must be willing to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
- Winemaking experience in two or more vintages
- Strong work ethic
- Forklift ticket
- Physically fit
- Excellent oral communication (English)
- High standards for hygiene / attention to detail
Further details
Start date: Aug 1st, 2020, end date approx. April. This job is full-time and seasonal. Upon on mutual agreement this could become a full-time permanent position.
