About us:
Our vineyard and winery are located in the magnificent Fraser Canyon across the Fraser River from the town of Lillooet,BC. Lillooet is one of the "Hot Spots" in Canada, with a climate that is comparable with the South Okanagan. We planted 29 acres with: Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
We firmly believe that great wines start in the vineyard and farm our land according to the Sustainable Farming Practice.
To support us in producing premium wines, we are looking for a Harvest Intern in our winery. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual looking to advance their career in the wine industry. If you are qualified and are looking to work closely with the winemaker in a smaller winery, with a small team, with grapes from a unique area, please apply.
Ideal Candidate would have:
- Diploma or degree in wine related field (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum of 1 harvest experience
- Forklift Experience
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to follow direction and work flexible hours (weekends and evenings) in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods of time
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
- Must be currently located in Canada with an eligible work visa.
Job Description:
The Intern will assist the winemaker in all winemaking activities: Vineyard work, grape sampling, grape receival, crushing, pressing, fermentation management, lab work, additions, innoculations, cleaning, barrel work, racking, filtering and any other cellar activities.
