Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively execute the territory sales plan and corresponding sales objectives
- Arrange and activate targeted promotional activities and brand building strategies such as product features, by- the- glass & by-the-bottle placements, secondary displays, shelf placement, chilled placement, etc.
- Effectively petition new and existing customers to promote our brands on their shelves – strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Maintain and develop productive business relationships with all key decision-makers
- Ability to influence accounts with strong negotiation skills – strong understanding of sales margins & other financial metrics are important
- Professional presentation building for proposals with strategic Key Account partners
- Ability to present in front of multiple individuals in a professional manner, with a strong level of confidence
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline with effective follow-up and closing strategies, using the company CRM (Pipedrive)
- Establish and maintain a sales call cycle of 35 calls per week
- Pour at various trade tastings and event
- Operate within an approved expense budget
- Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings and weekends (as required) including overnight trips from time to time
- Ability to manage tasks and to exercise independent judgment without supervision
- Excellent organization skills, accurate and detailed oriented
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience as a sales rep in beverage alcohol – ideally in the local market that we’re hiring for
- Experience in both retail and on-premise channels is an asset
- WSET or ISG Certification will be considered an asset
- Competency with Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook
- Valid Driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
Salary based upon experience – additional earning potential based upon monthly sales incentives.
