The Regional Key Account Manager is a very dynamic and important role within the company that requires the candidate to be team-oriented, highly organized, self-initialized and a good communicator. Candidate needs to co-ordinate and liaise with both on premise and off premise outlets as well as Sovereign’s management team to achieve logistics, marketing, sales and brand goals to ensure successful quarterly targets.

 REPORTS TO

General Manager, Head Office

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•         Promotes and increase sales within retail and on-premise channels through the aggressive execution of national and regional sales and marketing strategies.

•         In collaboration with the Head Office, develop sales objectives that are aligned with our business fundamentals of distribution, pricing, shelf promotion and display/visibility.

•         Ensures all regional sales objectives are consistently communicated to General Manager and Head Office on a weekly basis including inventory stock checks and forecasts.

•         Executes retail merchandising and marketing initiatives as set out by company

•         Plan and execute weekly account calls so as to maximize efficiency

•         Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers when in market

•         Participate in organization of brand activations at trade shows and seminars

•         Participate in internal meetings set out by Head Office

•         Help create and facilitate the company’s trademark brand activations

•         Participates in Sovereign’s Newsletter with contributions such as:

o   Cocktail of the month

o   Featured Post   

•         Help to create, facilitate and execute on-premise, bartender focused seminars and/or educational staff tastings

•         Help to create, facilitate, and execute retail seminars and tastings

•         Stay active on social media for promotion of our brands and events

•         Be a part of charity and community engagement based on Sovereign’s ethos as a company

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

•         Setting Sales Strategies

o   Establishing a plan to achieve retail channel sales objectives, taking into consideration overall business and sales goals, market opportunities, past sales results, and available resources; reviewing progress and adjusting the plan as needed.

o   Target cocktail listings on menus to help increase volume

•         Helping Make Sales Operations Decisions

o   Making day to day decisions required to manage the sales function, including deploying resources, allocating costs, and directing sales activities.

o   Securing and comparing information from multiple sources to identify key issues.

o   Committing to an action after weighing alternative solutions against important decision criteria.

•         Reporting and Communication

o   Use CRM tracker or another organizational tactic to declare which accounts you are working with

o   Familiarizing yourself with internal systems

o   Maintain digital correspondence with your accounts via e-mail and direct message

•         Driving for Results/Raising the Bar

o   Setting high goals for personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement.

o   Create and maintain a consistent account check-in schedule

o   Target self-monitored case monthly sales increases

•         Broadening Business Value

o   Exploring customers’ underlying issues that suggest broader solutions

o   Maximizing the productiveness of sales interactions by building on customer cues to gain commitment to products, services, and solutions

o   Articulating and promoting a path forward.

•         Sales Negotiation

o   Effectively exploring alternatives and positions to reach mutually beneficial sales agreements that gain customers’ acceptance and commitment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

·         Familiarity with the hospitality sector and drinks industry in Canada

·         A willingness to engage and learn about our growing industry

·         An ability to self-educate and self-motivate

·         At least 1-2 years of sales experience, supervisory or team lead experience in a related or complementary field.

·         Proven ability to deal successfully with multiple channels of distribution with success.

·         Strong time management and organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy

·         Travel required - Must have a valid driver’s license and car

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office & Google applications

·         WSET, CSS, Barsmarts experience preferred.

·         Any other miscellaneous spirit, or cocktail ingredient training preferred.

Remuneration on a floor + commission bonus structure
