Position Summary
We require a take charge, career-minded, motivated and experienced Sales Analyst/Trade Marketer for our entire portfolio of products both owned and Agency brands. This role serves as the primary liaison to enable the Colio Sales Team to have success in selling our portfolio within all channels. This role is extremely dynamic in that it touches all aspects of the Colio business and ensures on-going communication with channel business partners (i.e., LCBO, grocery chains, etc.), internal stakeholders, and our agency partners. The Sales Analyst/Trade Marketer is the SME within the Sales Organization, ensuring demand planning and forecasting accuracy enables the greatest efficiency from our Supply Chain organization.
Duties and Responsibilities

Collaboration on a daily basis with the sales team to provide insights and counsel team on overall performance; define expectations and monitor progress

Act as the primary communication between the Wholesale Team and the Marketing team to support in the creation by Marketing of tools to enable the successful selling of Colio’s portfolio in all wholesale channels

Working with the VP of Sales to develop quarterly Area Manager targets as well as helping to enable Colio’s CRM tool to ensure Area Managers can achieve their highest performance

Oversee Colio’s third-party sales analysis tool providers

Lead Colio’s merchandising planning sessions for Retail and LCBO channels with key stakeholders – Sales Leadership Team, Marketing, and Finance

Complete all NISS and MPTS applications for the LCBO channel and retail pricing applications for all channels including LCBO, TBS, and Grocery

Act as the coordinator and SME for the Sales Team in the completion of the demand forecast which is updated on an on-going basis, liaise with Colio’s Supply Chain as part of the Integrated Demand Plan process, and liaise with LCBO Inventory Planners on a monthly basis

Participate and present business learnings within on-going Retail team meetings and Colio Wholesale team meetings

Plan, execute, and evaluate sales, promotions, and marketing of Agency brands

Participate in Supplier Planning Initiatives, including supplier meetings, programming communication and business review

Develop and enhance relationships with the trade through participation in food/alcohol/industry related events

Survey Colio’s business analytics tools on an on-going basis to determine and track our portfolio success and challenges, to determine the business results of competing brands, and remain apprised of market trends and development within specific product categories, geographic regions, and accounts

Bachelor’s degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-
2 years of relevant experience.

Experienced with and knowledge of the rules and regulations of all Provincial Liquor Boards.

Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed.

Must have a valid in good standing Ontario driver’s license and secure and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with local laws.
Preferred Qualifications

Proficient working knowledge of computerized applications, for example, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email and specialized business applications software

Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all level of management

Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and relevant stakeholders

Understanding of wine and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service
-
Must require little direction or supervision; thrive on creating and selling innovative ideas and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit
-
Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain high level of quality output
-
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
-
Previous beverage supplier programming and price structure experience
