Job Summary:
Reporting to the Ontario Sales Manager, this position’s mandate is to increase the sales and market share of the Authentic Wine & Spirits Merchants portfolio of brands within the parameters set and in line with expectations of the company. Responsible for developing and maintaining critical partner relationships with key LCBO stores, grocery locations and on-trade accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Retail
· Drive sales of LCBO Wines & Spirits Portfolio by activating programming and managing visibility and stock
· Increase territory distribution and rate of sale in territory
· Maximize opportunities across retail channels amplifying brand sales in top selling stores
· Nurture long term and collaborative partnerships with LCBO employees at all levels of store organization
On-Trade
· Drive sales of the portfolio in the assigned on-premise accounts meeting and exceeding assigned KPIs
· Placement and activation of portfolio while maintaining brand standards
· Development of account base
Job Qualifications:
· Experience: University degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or equivalent discipline and/or minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales or management of a large wine & spirits portfolio. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the LCBO and grocery and existing relationships in those networks. Experience in managing on-trade partnerships and wine/spirits/mixology knowledge an asset.
· Skills: Driven team player with strong interpersonal skills. Strength in sales with excellent written and verbal communication. Skilled presenter with ability to adapt to audiences.
· Knowledge: Expert knowledge of the liquor industry (wine and spirits products as well as governmental policy and regulations is preferred). Successful completion of wine and spirit courses is desirable (e.g.: WSET) and will be required if hired.
This position requires flexible hours and will sometimes require nights and weekends with Trade Shows, Supplier Dinners/Events outside of regular workdays.
Base salary plus incentive bonus, car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
