Reporting to the Vice-President, this position will lead the creation of high-quality customer marketing tools for focus Brands, excite customers and create compelling channel and customer-specific plans paths to purchase across all trade and shopper channels. They will also be responsible to ensure timely, high-quality coordination and execution of brand and customer activity plans in the assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop long term and annual brand plans and initiatives in collaboration Brand Director, PMs and Brand Owners that increase the baseline and maximize in-store activation, enhance with ATL when relevant.
- Co-ordinate tactical pull-through activity to stimulate sales in channel/customers (either through customer tools or agency teams)
- Develop, present and sell-in strategic marketing plans that will facilitate brand/product growth
- Perform pricing reviews biannually, and ongoing as required. Manage competitive price positioning by identifying benchmark competitors and performing category analysis. Maintain knowledge of retail margins for key chains, and within the independent channel. Use this to inform recommendations for whls pricing, and manage accordingly, supported by the Business and Costing Analyst. Run different pricing models to evaluate and recommend best pricing scenarios.
- Review market trends, competitive activity, and brand performance. Use market analysis to identify portfolio opportunities and to create cohesive brand strategies. Communicate these to stakeholders by producing periodic marketing reports.
- Work closely with key internal contacts and customers to ensure goals are attained and programs are executed to plan. Maintain congruence between regional plans and national brand strategies (pricing, promotion, image, consumer communication, POS, etc.)
- Responsible for end-to-end financial process for agreed in-store activity in line with agreed budgets, working closely with Commercial Finance Team
- Evaluate activity and propose effectiveness improvements
- Prepare calendar of activities that maximizes the ROI
- Provide best-in-class point of sales Marketing solutions to maximize standout of company brands
- Oversee supplier itineraries, working with Marketing Coordinator and Sales Management to plan supplier in-market activities
- Build Escalade quarterly sales meetings in collaboration with Brand Director
- Update PAWA on regular basis
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in an FMCG environment within a sales or marketing function
- Graduate calibre
- Industry and wine knowledge (preferable)
- Bilingual English/French (preferable)
