Sales Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Tightrope Winery is a small, family run winery on the Naramata Bench founded by Graham and Lyndsay O’Rourke.  Starting out as a virtual winery in 2012, Tightrope has grown and established itself as one of the top small wineries in Canada.  A focus on sustainability and an attention to detail, allows them to craft multi-award winning, small lot wines, that reflect the unique terroir of the beautiful Naramata Bench.

 

Sales Manager Position:

 

Tightrope Winery is seeking an individual to fill the key position of Sales Manager. You would be an integral part of a small dynamic team that is responsible for the day to day running of Tightrope Winery.  As Sales Manager you would oversee all sales channels and be responsible for meeting sales goals, while being true to the Tightrope brand and values.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  1. Sales

·       Oversee all sales channels, including outside sales, DTC and allocations

·       Be responsible for accounts receivable

·       Coordinate sales strategy with wine club manager, wine shop manager and sales agents

·       Develop new sales opportunities

 

2.                           Marketing

·       Create a yearly communication calendar and manage social media

·       Maintain website and Wine Direct with new products and promotions

·       Promote online sales

·       Event planning and promotion

·       Manage new releases and related media promotions

 

3.                           Other

·       Answer outside inquiries 

·       Work in the wine shop when necessary

 

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with sales experience.  Previous experience in wines sales is not necessary, but definitely an asset.  You are organized, manage your time well, take initiative, have good communications skills and the ability to work well with others. Knowledge of Word, Excel and social media such as FB, Instagram and Twitter is a must.  Not required, but helpful, is a working knowledge of Wine Direct, Ollie Order and Tock.
