Job Description:

Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate is looking for individuals to join their 2019 harvest team! 

This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of Canada’s foremost wine producers, and the most awarded winery in Canada.  This opportunity will immerse you into the heart of Niagara wine country and provide hands on experience with premium VQA wine production across a range of styles.

The job will entail all aspects of wine production.  Successful candidates will be exposed to all harvest processing from receiving fruit and pressing, inoculation, pump overs, wine movements, racking, and barrel cellar work, amongst other duties.

We are looking for people who have a passion for Niagara terroir, are keen to develop/ improve their wine knowledge and production skills over the 2019 vintage.  This is a seasonal employment opportunity and cellar work will begin early to mid-September and end early to mid-December (hard dates confirmed with successful candidates closer to the harvest period).

For successful practicum candidates the position will also include guest services experience. The start date and duration of the experience to be determined with the Guest Experiences manager.

Preference given to those who provide a detailed application, including a cover letter outlining your experience and/or industry ambitions.

  • Possess problem solving skills
  • Have a keen attention to detail
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Capable of lifting 20kg
  • Willing to work long hours, shift work,  and overtime if necessary
  • Prior experience and relevant education preferred, but not a necessity
