PELLER ESTATES WINERY - 1 year Contract
We are seeking a wine passionate, customer focused individual to join our Peller Retail Management team for the one year temporary appointment as Assistant Retail & Tour Manager. This position requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
- Assisting in the development of sales and merchandising plans that support brand building and financial objectives
- Managing inventory control, cash control and daily cash reconciliations
- Assisting in the recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching of all part time Retail & Tour Staff positions at Peller Estates Winery
- Scheduling of Peller Estates Winery Retail & Tour staff and assigning responsibilities and tasks as appropriate
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
- University Degree in a related discipline; Post secondary studies in Hospitality an asset
- Retail supervisory experience; preferably in the wine industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize workload, multi-task, and collaborate
- Superior communication skills
