We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic Assistant Retail Manager to join our growing team. Working alongside our Retail & Hospitality Manager, the primary goal of this position is to support our retail team members in doing what they do best – welcoming guests into our home and treating them as family!
Specific job duties include:
- Providing a positive, fun and educational experience for all guests
- Maintaining a motivated work environment, personifying Konzelmann’s core values
- Assisting our Retail Manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategies
- Coordinating retail store operations
- Contributing to the development of hospitality experiences, including tastings and tours
- Working with our local partners, including tour operators, B&B owners and other local businesses
- Assisting our Retail Manager in the training and ongoing development of our retail team, maintaining a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences and achieving financial targets

Job Requirements:
- Must possess a passion for people, wine and the wine industry
- 1-3 Years previous guest service experience in a retail environment
- Preference for winery experience
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to support and encourage co-workers through training
- Demonstrated ability to work in high pressure situations
- Good understanding of business and accounting practices/inventory/cost controls
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
- Ability to learn, use and teach Point of Sale programs effectively
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal & communications skills
