Bottling Line Operator (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Pillitteri Estates Winery is a premium family owned winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario that produces approximately 125,000 cases each year and is the world’s largest Estate producer of Icewine and Canada’s largest Exporter of Icewine. We export to 35 countries in the world. Our focus is on, Bordeaux reds, aromatic white wines, appassimento reds and especially Icewine.

We are currently recruiting hardworking, detail oriented, mechanically inclined individuals to join our year-round bottling team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Participate in setup and organization of bottling line components.
  • Ability to effectively operate bottling line machinery; filler, corker/capsuler and labeler, perform activities which could include; bottle supply, case packing and stacking.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and reporting operation issues.
  • Perform bottling line operations to ensure completeness and compliance with packaging and quality specifications.
  •  Complete production records as required.
  • Ensure sanitation standards are met and maintained and all work areas are kept safe and organized.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management team.

 Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a repetitive, fast-paced environment and stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and enjoyment of physical work.
  • Ability to lift and carry 23kg/50lbs repeatedly.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to learn/train to operate a forklift.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • May require occasional overtime work.
  • Must demonstrate dependability and timeliness.

Position is full-time, hourly and is available immediately. Pay range for this position is dependant on experience and skills. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train enthusiastic individuals. With on the job training provided, this role is a great opportunity to build experience within the Wine industry.
