Strewn is a premium winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, celebrating 25 years of quality winemaking this year. We are both a top 10 producer of VQA wines to the LCBO and grocery channel as well as a producer of award-winning, small batch winery-exclusive wines.
Our focus is age-worthy red wines made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, reserve Terroir Chardonnays, fresh aromatic whites and iconic Icewines. These wines regularly win medals at many of the top international competitions.
We are currently seeking a Bottling Line Supervisor/Warehouse Manager to join our production team. The right individual should be mechanically inclined or have prior experience with bottling/packaging equipment. Will work closely with and report directly to the winemaker and assistant winemaker. This is a full-time year-round position that would commence immediately.
The right candidate will:
• Setup and carryout all bottling line operations including sanitation, safety, maintenance and repair
• Manage and coordinate bottling line staff
• Work closely with the Winemaking team for bottling and packaging deadlines
• Work collaboratively as a team member and work independently as required
• Solve problems that arise and seek solutions
• Have an understanding of and an interest in, mechanical systems
• Oversee inventory management which includes moving, checking, recording and handling of the inventory
• Load and unload trucks
• Help to maintain an organized, safe, clean workspace
• Stocking retail and restaurant locations
Requirements: Excellent organizational skills, computer proficiency, self-driven with a strong attention to detail. Experience in bottling, wine industry, production or with machinery is preferred. As well as Forklift experience/certification. Must be able to lift 22 kg/45 lb and execute other physical activity. Reliable transportation to the winery is required.
The position is permanent, full time with early morning starts on bottling days and occasional longer hours or weekend work, especially during vintage. Competitive wage and benefits package.
