We are looking for experienced harvest interns for September 2024-December 2024 who are passionate about ultra-premium winemaking. You would be part of a small team that is involved in all aspects of harvest.
Must have valid work visa.
Transportion and Accommodation is not provided.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
·Operating press, destemmer, barrel washer, ozone machine, pumps. Moving pumps and hoses into place to pump product.
·Ensure presentation, organization and sanitation of the cellars is always of the highest standard.
·Grape processing, fermentations, pressings, racking, transfers, blending, topping, wine aging, wine treatments, bottling, barrel maintenance and sanitation.
·Working outside (sometimes a cold, damp environment) processing grapes (includes dumping grapes into hoppers, cleaning & re-stacking bins, preparing and making additions to the grapes, presses, tanks)
·Cleaning & sanitizing equipment (presses, pumps, bins, de-stemmer/crusher, tanks, tubs), as well must be comfortable entering tanks for cleaning/skin removal
·Ensure all documentation and relevant records are completed and returned to supervisor in a timely fashion including work orders.
·Follow all safety procedures as directed by standard operating procedures, ability to prioritize and able to adapt to changing priorities
·Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and willingness to work flexible hours when needed
Can be an asset:
- Forklift experience
- Lab experience
- Formal wine education
Compensation:
Salary will be based on experience
