Retail Manager-MAT Leave Contract and Potential Permanent (August 2021 to February 2023)
Primary responsibility is to oversee all on-site retail functions at winery location and ensure that every individual that walks through our door receives an exceptional service experience.
Responsible for building a ‘team’ where all members feel welcome and inspired to have a positive attitude and carry out their duties in an efficient and effective manner.
Regular work week Wednesday through Sunday
Fulltime – Approximately 40 hours per week
Two weeks holidays
Daily expectations:
In-store customer service and management and coaching of up to 20 seasonal team members.
Other duties:
Ensure winery property is presented in immaculate condition
Scheduling, planning for high/low time, staff requirements, time off requests, labour hours, events etc.
Tour and event bookings
Orders and receiving new inventory
POS system support including updates and troubleshooting
Tracking sales and team sales as part of rewards program
Responsible for balancing cash deposits at end of day
Motivating and encouraging exceptional customer service from Retail Team
Recruiting and training of new team members
Driving sales and Wine Club membership recruitment
Oversee the scheduling, coordination and execution of tours and tastings
*General duties as requested
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a retail and/or hospitality team
Retail and/or Tourism or Hospitality experience and/or Education
St. John’s Ambulance representative a plus
Wine knowledge a plus
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
